Fr. Mannes Thierry Hakpon, O.P
Rector
Fr. Thierry has been serving as Priest-in-Charge at St. Alban’s since January 2019 and has been a priest in the Anglican Catholic Church since 2010.
Fr. Thierry also works for Crater Hospice and has pastoral experience in many areas including parish ministry, campus ministry, and hospital chaplaincy. He serves as a spiritual care manager to his patients and their families and offers spiritual and emotional support to those facing serious illness and end of life care.
Fr. Thierry speaks English, French and several African languages. He is available at any time for counseling, prayers, and/or spiritual direction. Fr. Thierry can be reached at 804-262-6100.
Bernard Riley
Organist & Music Director
Bernard is a long-time member of our staff and is in charge of the music programs at St. Alban’s. In addition to playing the organ at our services, he leads the adult choir, the men and boys’ choir, and the children’s choir. Bernard also frequently leads our daily sung Morning Prayer (Matins) and our Sunday Evensong.
In addition to the services and concerts at St. Alban’s, he often performs in organ recitals throughout the United States.
He studied at the Conservatory of the University of South Africa, Pretoria, and the Royal School of Church Music in London.
